OUR FOUNDATION
What We Believe
The truths that shape our lives and guide our ministry.
Our faith shapes everything we do from the words we write and the resources we share to the stories we tell and the churches we serve. We take seriously the responsibility of teaching Scripture, leading worship, and pointing people to Jesus.
These statements express our convictions. We also recognize that faithful Christians differ on some matters of doctrine and practice. We welcome opportunities to serve alongside churches across denominational lines, united by our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to make Him known.
The Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal Him as the one true God, worthy of our worship, trust, and obedience.
God the Father
We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He created humanity in His own image for fellowship with Him. Following humanity’s rebellion and fall into sin, He lovingly provided the way for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is eternally God. He existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made.
For our redemption, He became human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully human, united in one person.
Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. He will return personally and visibly in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God, the Lord and Giver of life. He was active throughout the Old Testament and was poured out upon the Church in fullness at Pentecost.
The Holy Spirit brings new life, dwells within believers, empowers us for service and witness, and works in us to overcome sin and conform us to the image of Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit releases the fullness of the Spirit in a believer’s life and is evidenced by the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. Through Scripture, God reveals His nature, character, will, and purposes, along with humanity’s nature, need, responsibility, and destiny.
We believe the Scriptures are without error in their moral and spiritual teaching and their record of historical facts. The Bible is our final authority for faith and practice, guiding what we believe and how we live.
Humanity and Our Need for Redemption
We believe every person is created in the image of God and has inherent, God-given worth. Every person should be treated with dignity, compassion, and love.
Although humanity was created for fellowship with God, the whole human race fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience. Apart from Jesus Christ, we are alienated from God and spiritually dead in our sins. We cannot enter the kingdom of God without being born again through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our need for redemption is universal, and the invitation to receive God’s grace through Jesus Christ is extended to all.
The Atonement
We believe Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world. The benefits of His atoning sacrifice are received by those who trust Him as Savior and Lord.
We believe healing for body, soul, and spirit, along with God’s provisions for His people, is provided through the atonement and must be personally appropriated.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, made possible through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and received through faith in Him. It cannot be earned through good works or personal merit.
Salvation involves repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and personally receiving Him as Savior and Lord. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we are born again, justified before God, adopted into His family, and made heirs of His kingdom.
We believe salvation is a response of free will to God’s love. We understand predestination in relation to God’s foreknowledge of those who would choose Him. Our salvation is secure in the eternal, unchanging commitment of God, who does not lie and remains forever faithful.
New life in Christ should produce a growing life of loving obedience and service to Him.
The Christian Life
We believe the Christian life involves both what God has accomplished for us through Christ and what the Holy Spirit continues to develop within us as we grow in faith and maturity.
God’s provision is sufficient, and His promises are trustworthy. Yet believers and churches remain in the ongoing process of sanctification—being shaped increasingly into the likeness of Jesus.
Following Christ does not exempt us from trials, testing, or spiritual warfare. Faithfulness requires daily dependence on the Holy Spirit and a willingness to surrender our desires to God.
For those who abide in Christ until death or His return, the promise of eternal life in His presence is assured.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ, made up of all who truly believe in Jesus Christ. He loves the Church and gave Himself for it.
The Church is called to make disciples of all nations and help believers grow into maturity in Christ. Every follower of Jesus has a part in sharing the gospel, serving others, and building up His body.
We affirm the fivefold ministry described in Ephesians 4, along with the offices of elder and deacon and other ministries identified in Scripture. We believe church governance involves a balance of congregational participation and elder leadership, with final governing authority entrusted to the church’s leadership under Christ and Scripture.
Biblical discipline, exercised with love and a desire for restoration, is essential to the health of the Church. Its oversight belongs to the church’s leadership.
Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe Jesus gave the Church two continuing ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism is an outward testimony of what God has already done in a believer’s life. It identifies the believer with Jesus Christ and publicly declares that the person belongs to Him. Baptism is administered in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord’s Supper commemorates Jesus’ death and expresses our participation in Him. We observe it in remembrance of Him until He returns.
We believe both ordinances are for believers in Jesus Christ.
Christ's Return and Eternity
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and bodily. We affirm the resurrection of the dead, the millennium, and the final judgment.
Those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord become children of God and receive eternal life. At death, they enter consciously into His presence. At Christ’s return, their bodies will be raised and transformed into the likeness of His glorious body.
Those who persistently reject Jesus Christ will also be raised and face final judgment, resulting in everlasting conscious punishment and separation from God.
We affirm God’s promise of a new heaven and a new earth, where His people will dwell with Him forever.
Satan and Spiritual Warfare
We believe Satan is a real, personal spiritual enemy who opposes God and seeks to deceive and destroy. His power is limited by God’s sovereign authority.
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ secured the ultimate defeat of Satan. Although believers face spiritual opposition in this life, we stand in Christ’s victory and depend upon God’s Word, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Satan will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire, and his opposition to God will come to an end.
Our Shared Mission
We believe Jesus calls His followers to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate His love through practical acts of compassion and service.
For us, that calling takes shape through writing, worship, teaching, free church resources, and film. Our desire is to encourage people, equip churches, and communicate the hope of Jesus in ways that continue to bear fruit long after an event is over.
We believe God desires to work powerfully through believers and churches, and we look forward with expectation to a fresh work of revival.
Serving Together Across Denominational Lines
We believe all who belong to Jesus Christ are members of one body. Our unity is rooted in Him, even where we differ in our understanding of some doctrines and practices.
Agreement with every position on this page is not a requirement for ministry partnership. When invited to serve, we seek to understand and respect the host church’s leadership, convictions, and practices. We approach those relationships with honesty about our own beliefs and a desire to strengthen the congregation we are serving.
Our heart is to build lasting partnerships centered on Jesus, grounded in Scripture, and marked by humility and love.
Let's Have a Conversation
If you have questions about our beliefs or would like to talk about serving together, we would welcome the conversation.
Our heart is to encourage believers, equip churches, and help people follow God faithfully in real life.
